Wet Your Hands
A short rhyme for washing hands, written for this site.
Wet your hands and soap them well,Bubbles rise and bubbles swell.Backs and thumbs and in between,Rinse them off, and now they’re clean!
Why it helps
Children tend to rub their palms and stop. The third line points to the parts that get missed: backs of hands, thumbs and between the fingers.
How to use it
Say the first two lines while soaping and the third line twice while scrubbing, then rinse on the last.
Ask your child
- Can you find your thumbs?
- How big can your bubbles get?
